About
I am a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies, currently working as a Postdoctoral Research in the FINDHR project at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). At UPF, I research techniques and methods for fair algorithmic hiring, i.e., the use of automated systems in human recommendation for job candidacies, university admissions, public assistance prioritization, or other public benefits.
I have a background in Informatics Engineering, with more than 10 years of experience designing and developing software. I have also expertise running end-to-end data science and machine learning projects in academic settings. In addition, I have experience conducting qualitative research (e.g., surveys, interviews, content analysis, field observations).
My research interests include participatory technologies, crowdsourcing, collective intelligence, blockchain, applied machine learning, and natural language processing.
Before joining the UPF, I have worked as a Postdoctoral Research at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) and have been a Data Scientist Fellow at the University of Chicago, in Chicago, USA.
